Central London
From 15:00 on Friday until 07:00 the following morning, a charity walk will take place through central London on pavements only. Large crowds are expected.
Friday 14 into Saturday 15, and Saturday 15 into Sunday 16 March
Blackwall Tunnel
Blackwall Tunnel will have directional closures on the following dates and times:
- From 23:59 on Friday 14 until 05:00 on Saturday 15 March, Blackwall Tunnel will be closed southbound
- From 23:59 on Saturday 15 until 05:00 on Sunday 16 March, Blackwall Tunnel will be closed northbound
Bus services will be unaffected during the southbound closure.
From 22:00 on Saturday, bus route 108 will not cross the river and instead will operate as two services, terminating/starting at Canning Town and North Greenwich. Use the Jubilee line to cross the river. Services will return to their normal line of route when the tunnel reopens.
This is for essential maintenance work and work to support the opening of Silvertown Tunnel.
Friday 14 until Sunday 16 March
O2 Arena
From 18:30 until 22:30, the O2 Arena will host a music event each night. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after each event.
Sunday 16 March
Central London
From 05:00 until 23:00, there will be various road closures and restrictions in place from Hyde Park to Whitehall via Piccadilly, St James’s Street, Pall Mall and Cockspur Street for an annual parade. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.
From 09:00 until 11:00, there will be short traffic holds outside the MI6 building for filming. Increased traffic levels are expected.
Throughout the day, Tower Bridge will be closed for periods or have short traffic holds for filming. Use alternative river crossings London Bridge or Rotherhithe Tunnel (Rotherhithe Tunnel has height and weight restrictions).
From 11:00 until 14:00, a wreath-laying service will take place on Horse Guards Road. Large crowds are expected.
From 12:00 until 18:00, an annual cultural event will take place at Trafalgar Square. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.
Wembley Stadium
From 14:30 until 19:00, Wembley Stadium will host a football match, with kick off at 16:30. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after the match, with local road closures in place around the stadium.
