Festival of Remembrance – Kensington Gore (Royal Albert Hall)

Saturday 9 October 2024 – 06:00 to 23:59. Closures of Roads Surrounding Royal Albert Hall

Festival of Remembrance is an annual event organised by the Royal British Legion, taking place at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 9 November 2024.

The Metropolitan Police will be implementing a full closure of the roads immediately surrounding the Royal Albert Hall from 06:00 on the event day. Shorter closures for HVM installation will go in as required on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 November, and for de-rig on Sunday 10 November. Some parking bays have been suspended to accommodate the build between Thursday 7 and Sunday 10 November, and full suspensions across the event footprint will be in place on Saturday 9 November.

The normally right banned turn from Exhibition Road onto Kensington Road will be lifted for the duration of this event. Please take extreme caution and be guided by the Metropolitan Police Officers at this junction.

Cadent Gas will be carrying out works to replace a gas main at the above location. Grosvenor Road eastbound between Chelsea Bridge Road and Lupus Street will be closed.

Farringdon Road Farringdon Road will be closed southbound between Ray Street Bridge and Charterhouse Street. This is due to essential Cadent Gas works.
