Whitehall will be closed in both directions from Whitehall Place to Great George Street to facilitate filming that will be taking place.

The usually banned turns into and out of Northumberland Avenue will be lifted for the duration of the filming.

Due to major works by Cadent Gas Lower Sloane Street will be closed northbound only between Sloane Gardens and Sloane Square.

 

Resurfacing of Trafalgar Square (King Charles I island) will take place from 08:00 Monday 6 January until 22:00 Thursday 9 January 2025 and will consist of four phases (work being undertaken 08:00 to 22:00) and will be in place for 24hours.

As an overview on the 6 & 7 January works will be on the southern side and 8 & 9 January will be on the northern side

The Somerset House coach bays (set down and pick up only) will be closed on the following days (inclusive):

• 30 January 2025
• 10 to 16 February 2025
• 20 to 24 February 2025

This is to facilitate events in Somerset House.

Alternative pick up and set down only facilities are available at:

• Embankment Station stops 40B, 40C & 40D
• Temple Station stop N (eastbound) & W (westbound)

Westminster City council will be undertaking the resurfacing of Trafalgar Square from 6 to 10 January 2025. This will be in four phases, but broadly will be the south (phase 1 & 2) and north (phase 3 & 4) sides of King Charles I island.
